Technical Program Manager - Engineering (AWS)

Location: Plano, Texas; candidates must reside within a commutable distance.

What you will do

• Drive complex, cross-team engineering programs from scope and planning through launch and retrospectives.
• Break ambiguous initiatives into milestones, workstreams, deliverables, ownership, and timelines.
• Manage dependencies across backend, full-stack, frontend, platform, infrastructure, and security teams.
• Coordinate technical design reviews, sprint planning, release planning, and multi-service AWS deployments.
• Maintain roadmaps, status reporting, delivery metrics, and leadership visibility into risks and tradeoffs.
• Improve engineering delivery processes and operational readiness, including observability, runbooks, load testing, and incident response.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of combined technical program management and software engineering experience, including 3+ years in TPM or technical delivery leadership.
• Strong technical fluency in architecture diagrams, API contracts, distributed system traces, and system design tradeoffs.
• Working knowledge of AWS serverless services, including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Step Functions, EventBridge, SQS/SNS, and S3.
• Experience with CI/CD, deployment strategies, release management, agile delivery, observability, and operational readiness.
• Must have the right to work in the United States without current or future immigration sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, banking, or insurance.
• Software engineering, Infrastructure as Code, multi-account AWS, platform migration, or large-scale re-architecture experience.
• Experience with GenAI programs, data streaming, event-driven architectures, AWS certifications, or operational reviews.
