Technical Program Manager - System Behavior Analysis (Autonomous Vehicles)

Zoox is building a full-stack autonomous mobility solution, combining vehicle systems, software, fleet operations, and large-scale simulation.

What you will do

• Drive triage reviews for defects, high-severity live-service issues, and safety-critical events.
• Improve triage health by tracking throughput, misclassification, latency, backlog aging, automation coverage, and regulatory-reportable issues.
• Program-manage requirements, sequencing, delivery, adoption, and capacity impact for triage tooling and automation.
• Maintain intake paths, escalation criteria, and shared boards used by partner teams.
• Translate milestones into quarterly triage commitments and forecast demand across onshore, offshore, and vendor teams.
• Coordinate with software development, software integration, QA, safety, product, vehicle operations, and program management.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in technical program management or engineering operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• Systems-oriented approach to tracing changes across connected hardware and software systems.
• Experience writing queries and building dashboards for high-volume issue or operational data, using metrics to improve execution.
• Experience building lightweight program tooling, partnering with engineering on automation, aligning teams without direct authority, and structuring ambiguous problems into milestones and owners.

Nice to have

• Experience with autonomous vehicles, robotics, safety-critical systems, simulation, log replay, or regression testing.
• Experience managing internal tools or automation through adoption.
• Python or SQL, plus Jira and Confluence.
