Salary: $114,200–$142,700 USD annual base salary

hirify.global designs, builds, and operates a large Earth-observation satellite constellation and delivers satellite-derived data through a cloud-based platform for commercial, environmental, and humanitarian applications.

What you will do

  • Conduct daily fleet checks and support on-call operations for the satellite constellation.
  • Test and deploy flight software upgrades, debug satellite anomalies, and perform on-orbit experiments.
  • Develop and maintain real-time, mission-critical software for satellite operations.
  • Write scripts to aggregate satellite data and generate system monitoring metrics.
  • Analyze operational data, identify issues and inefficiencies, and propose improvements.
  • Create operational procedures and provide feedback to launch, manufacturing, and spacecraft engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Ability to work from the San Francisco office 3 days per week.
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Software development experience, particularly with Python or similar languages.
  • Familiarity with the space environment, statistical analysis, and data-driven problem-solving.
  • Ability to access applicable export-controlled information without additional export licensing.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience operating spacecraft or remote systems.
  • Knowledge of spacecraft propulsion and guidance, navigation, and control systems.
  • Experience with hardware-in-the-loop testing, Agile development, automation, and optimization.
  • Experience with Git, GitLab, Docker, Jenkins, Bash, Linux, CI/CD, Sentry, or Datadog.
  • Open-source software contributions and practical data-analysis experience.
