Senior Regulatory Compliance Engineer

Location: Boston, MA, United States; office-based or hybrid options available.

Base salary: $140,000–$185,000 per year.

What you will do

• Own worldwide product certifications covering radio, EMC, safety, telecom type approvals, carrier certifications, and regional filings.
• Lead regulatory compliance for new products through NPI, from requirements definition to certification sign-off before launch.
• Partner with hardware and RF engineering on pre-scans, antenna work, RF debugging, certification failures, root-cause analysis, and re-testing.
• Maintain compliance for released products through renewals, re-certification, regulatory tracking, and production-clearance documentation.
• Own battery, lithium, dangerous-goods, airline, environmental, labeling, and regulatory-marking requirements.
• Manage external test labs, certification bodies, in-country representahirify.globals, budgets, schedules, technical filings, and customer-facing certificates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• 5+ years of experience in global regulatory compliance for wireless, cellular, and battery-powered hardware.
• Experience with FCC, ISED, RED/CE, MIC, radio, EMC, safety, telecom, SAR, OTA, and protocol certification activities.
• Ability to coordinate test plans, quotations, samples, certification schedules, bug fixes, and re-testing with third-party laboratories.
• Ability to collaborate with Trade Compliance so product approvals, markings, import documents, customs, and export requirements align.
