What you will do

  • Design, implement, and test Control APIs and services for rule evaluation, policy enforcement, optimization, and real-time usage insights.
  • Build scalable telemetry-shaping and cost-control systems, including ingest policies, aggregation, sampling, recommendations, and usage-based controls.
  • Partner with Product and Design to create customer-facing experiences for understanding telemetry cost drivers and taking effective action.
  • Own production quality through instrumentation, alerting, debugging, incident response, and performance tuning.
  • Integrate Control decisions across ingestion, query, storage, platform, infrastructure, and developer experience systems.

Requirements

  • Proven experience building high-quality, scalable, performance-sensitive production systems.
  • Strong systems-programming skills in Go, C++, Java, C#, or Rust.
  • Ability to independently own projects from inception through delivery and operate with production maturity.
  • Interest in complex technical domains, product engineering, cost control, optimization, and reliability.
  • Collaborative working style and ability to work effectively with Product, Design, Engineering, platform, and infrastructure teams.
