Director, Software Engineering (Conference Tech Platform)

Location: Hybrid role hiring near the Irving, TX and Stamford, CT Centers of Excellence

Base salary: USD 128,000–189,000 annually, plus eligible bonus or incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Lead cross-regional software engineering teams and foster ownership, accountability, and high performance.
• Execute the conference technology platform integration roadmap and influence technology direction.
• Strengthen SDLC rigor, platform architecture, engineering discipline, and responsible AI practices.
• Partner with Conference business and IT leaders to align technology solutions with strategic priorities and lead adoption of new platforms and ways of working.
• Drive quality-first engineering practices that improve reliability, scalability, and delivery efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• 12–15 years of software engineering experience, including at least 5 years in leadership roles.
• Strong experience with enterprise platform integrations and cloud architecture, particularly AWS.
• Experience with object-oriented programming using .NET, Java, or Ruby.
• Expertise building enterprise-scale API-centric and event-driven platforms.
• Experience managing distributed teams, driving organizational change, and collaborating across IT and business functions.
