Consultant, Risk Governance

Location: Toronto, ON; hybrid arrangement with 1–3 days per week on-site at Toronto-141 Bay

What you will do

• Act as a relationship manager and risk consultant for business partners and Lines of Defense on operational risk matters.
• Identify risk exposures and control gaps, analyze operational losses and root causes, and recommend deficiency remediation.
• Support Change Initiative Risk Assessments, self-assessments, audits, regulatory compliance assessments, RCSAs, and GORM reviews.
• Provide risk and controls subject matter expertise for Global Technology, Data & AI initiatives and regulatory projects.
• Develop control requirements, improve control processes, and support execution of the Control Framework.
• Develop remediation action plans and advise on governance, issue management, and control implementation.

Requirements

• Experience with Retail & Business Banking products, channels, account opening, product delivery, and back-office settlement or fulfillment processes.
• Extensive knowledge of risk management, audit, regulatory compliance principles, policies, and procedures.
• Strong relationship management, collaboration, communication, analytical thinking, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to investigate complex problems, synthesize detailed information, and communicate recommendations effectively.
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada at the specified location is required; a valid work or study permit may be required where applicable.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement with 1–3 days per week on-site in Toronto.
