Forward-Deployed Strategist (AI)

What you will do

• Embed with enterprise customers as a forward-deployed strategist for frontier AI labs and major AI companies, owning the path from contract signing to measurable value.
• Lead discovery for customer AI problems, map organizations, identify high-impact use cases, and define success criteria.
• Translate customer needs into prioritized requirements, project plans, roadmaps, executive summaries, and clear context for engineering teams.
• Run workshops, office hours, and hands-on sessions that help non-technical teams build AI workflows and use agents effectively.
• Create curricula, guides, and playbooks, track adoption and outcomes, and remove blockers to move deployments into production.
• Expand successful pilots into broader rollouts and feed field insights into partner product teams and Lazer's deployment playbook.

Requirements

• 3+ years of client-facing consulting, strategy, product, or project management experience, ideally in technology, data, or AI.
• Experience owning projects end to end, working with engineering or data teams, and translating between technical and business stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience using LLMs, agents, and AI workflow tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Glean.
• Ability to read code or build simple prototypes, automations, or integrations; coding is not required.
• Experience deploying enterprise AI products at scale or working at an AI company, plus product management experience at a software company.
• Ability to work in ambiguity, teach complex concepts, manage change, and support large mixed-skill audiences.

Nice to have

• Forward-deployed or AI startup experience.
• Experience with account expansion, enablement, instructional design, or change management.
• Familiarity with RAG, MCPs, and agent orchestration.
