Consultant, PC&T Governance & Controls

Location: Toronto, ON; hybrid arrangement with 1–3 days per week onsite at Toronto-81 Bay

What you will do

• Strengthen and sustain an effective governance, risk, and control environment across the business.
• Perform control testing and sustainability testing, including assessments of control design and operating effectiveness.
• Support external audits, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) activities, and Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) requirements.
• Manage controls across their lifecycle, including design, implementation, monitoring, enhancement, and decommissioning.
• Prepare control-based compliance reports and improve control-related processes and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and recommend practical improvements to mitigate risks.

Requirements

• Legally eligible to work at the specified location and, where applicable, hold a valid work or study permit.
• At least 5 years of experience in audit, risk, or governance.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting controls, SOX, ICFR, operational controls, and regulatory compliance within Human Resources.
• Experience with controls management, risk assessment, investigations, reporting, and process documentation.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, relationship management, and collaboration skills.
