Sr Quality Manager (Supplier Quality)

Location: Waukesha, WI, USA. Travel to local facilities and global suppliers is required.

What you will do

• Lead supplier quality activities for new product introductions, ensuring suppliers, components, and purchased finished goods are ready for production launches.
• Partner with Engineering, Global Sourcing, manufacturing facilities, and suppliers to identify risks and improve quality performance.
• Resolve complex supplier quality issues through root cause analysis, corrective actions, 8D problem solving, Lean methods, and statistical tools.
• Support supplier assessments, design reviews, PPAP execution, audits, and identification of critical component characteristics.
• Monitor supplier quality metrics, dashboards, and scorecards while advancing the hirify.global Quality Management System.
• Lead, coach, and develop a regional Supplier Quality team and coordinate initiatives across business groups and regions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 7 years of experience in Quality Assurance, plant quality, or supplier quality, including 5 years with an OEM company.
• At least 3 years of experience with PPAP, APQP, control plans, PFMEA, and ISO procedures.
• At least 3 years of people management experience and experience with the NPI process.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and quality metrics, Lean principles, advanced problem solving, Microsoft Office Suite, and SAP.
• Ability to communicate effectively, manage shifting priorities, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, or Certified Quality Auditor credentials.
• Experience in SQE roles with OEM companies, international and matrix organizations, product and process auditing, SAP or equivalent ERP, and statistical analysis software.
• Teaching, training, coaching, or mentoring experience.
