is delivering engineering services for a membership platform that provides trading education, live market analysis, real-time data, charts, and community resources through WordPress.
What you will do
- Implement, test, debug, and deploy features across custom WordPress plugins, using staging environments before production releases.
- Own the technical release calendar, including WordPress core, plugin, and infrastructure updates, backups, and database checks.
- Maintain security controls for custom REST endpoints, authentication flows, billing systems, and platform infrastructure.
- Triage member access, billing, SSO, and session issues, resolving routine problems and documenting complex defects.
- Perform regression testing across checkout, SSO, course progression, and community journeys after deployments.
- Maintain integrations with Python microservices, Firebase Firestore/RTDB, and real-time market-data WebSockets, while creating operational runbooks.
Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with advanced WordPress internals, including hooks, REST APIs, custom routing, capabilities, transients, and object caching.
- Experience with JetEngine CPTs, meta fields, relations, REST writes, custom data modeling, and direct SQL database inspection.
- Production experience with membership websites and MemberPress and Stripe billing integrations.
- Practical experience with Firebase, BuddyBoss, and OAuth/SSO.
- Strong security practices covering input sanitization, nonces, capability checks, secret management, rate limiting, WAF rules, and access control.
- Advanced written and spoken English, with the ability to explain technical root causes to non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience with Python-based microservices.
- Experience with financial market data APIs, including Massive/Polygon REST and WebSockets.
