Mechanical Engineer II (Packaging Equipment)

What you will do

• Plan and design packaging equipment, mechanical components, electro-mechanical systems, and pneumatic systems.
• Create bills of materials, engineering and fabrication drawings, final assembly drawings, and documentation for installation, training, and operation.
• Maintain drawing databases and process Engineering Change Orders to keep production documentation current.
• Research, evaluate, and specify mechanical equipment, components, processes, and systems against performance and regulatory requirements.
• Design, conduct, and document R&D experiments, perform root cause analysis, and implement engineering changes.
• Provide technical support to purchasing, production, manufacturing, sales, service, customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in machine design and designing for manufacturability.
• Fluent use of Inventor or SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• General knowledge of product handling, machine capabilities, and assembly principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; employment eligibility is verified through E-Verify.
