Senior Manager, Onsite Product Engineering (Leather Goods)

What you will do

• Act as the Product Owner from local office/market handover through supplier delivery and serve as the onsite Product Development representative.
• Coordinate communication between the Asia Product Development team, onsite operations, suppliers, Engineering, and internal stakeholders.
• Reinforce design intent, product quality expectations, and global brand standards throughout the production cycle.
• Validate supplier output, identify material, craftsmanship, and specification deviations, and escalate critical risks with solution proposals.
• Maintain engineering documentation, including best-practice guidelines, SOPs, and test reports, in coordination with the Lead Engineer.
• Assess technical feasibility and cost optimization opportunities, support manufacturing capability development, and coordinate product audits and corrective actions.

Requirements

• Strong experience in Product Development, Engineering, or Manufacturing for leather goods and accessories.
• Experience maintaining product integrity and ensuring production output follows approved design specifications and quality standards.
• Strong communication, collaboration, initiative, responsiveness, adaptability, and flexibility.
• Consistency, integrity, and the ability to deal effectively with ambiguity.
• Ability to manage cross-functional relationships and provide direct, actionable feedback.
