Senior Counsel, Commercial (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Advise Commercial teams on strategic alliances, business development, and health plan partner relationships.
• Draft, edit, and negotiate revenue-generating agreements with payer partners, including letters of intent, definitive agreements, and business associate agreements.
• Advise on value-based and fee-for-service contracting, reimbursement structures, reporting, and contract templates.
• Guide teams on multistate licensure, utilization review, privacy and security, data sharing, clinical and financial integration, and healthcare fraud and abuse regulations.
• Represent Cityblock in external negotiations and translate complex legal topics into practical guidance for leadership and business teams.
• Develop contract extractions and improve processes for partnership and network teams to accelerate deal cycles and operationalize agreements.

Requirements

• JD degree.
• 7+ years of corporate legal experience.
• Transactional healthcare experience in-house at a healthcare company or within a healthcare law practice.
• Experience managing multiple contract negotiations and provider agreements in parallel.
• Prior externally facing experience, with strong communication, management, mentorship, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
• Comfort working pragmatically in an ambiguous, high-growth environment and commitment to serving underserved populations.
