Principal Actuary, Actuarial Analytics

Location: Remote within the United States, with occasional travel to hirify.global offices for training or meetings; typical business hours are Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm

Salary: $156,600–$215,400 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan

What you will do

• Analyze and forecast financial, economic, operational, and claims data for strategic and day-to-day business decisions.
• Develop leadership reporting, performance metrics, business intelligence, and actionable recommendations.
• Evaluate industry, financial, market, utilization, unit cost, severity, and mix trends.
• Support Medicare Individual analytics and compare actual experience with forecasts, pricing assumptions, and prior periods.
• Design and maintain data-flow processes and controls, investigate anomalies, and perform root cause analysis.
• Advise functional teams and senior executives on actuarial matters and enterprise-wide strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s or doctoral degree is preferred.
• 7+ years of technical experience and 2–5 years of project leadership experience.
• FSA or ASA designation, MAAA, and relevant advanced education or recent professional experience.
• Experience across more than two functions, such as modeling, pricing, rate filing, reporting and analysis, reserving, or trending.
• Strong technical and non-technical communication skills, with the ability to adapt to the audience.
• Ability to work remotely within the United States and travel occasionally to hirify.global offices.
