Software Development Internship (Summer 2027)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The internship follows hirify.global's Flexible Workplace approach, with office, remote, or hybrid work depending on business and team needs. In-person onboarding or identity verification may be required.

hirify.global develops software for architecture, engineering, construction, manufacturing, media, and entertainment, including tools that support product design and digital creation.

What you will do

• Contribute to the design, development, testing, and delivery of software features, services, APIs, and developer tools.
• Collaborate with developers, product partners, and other stakeholders to turn requirements into technical solutions.
• Write maintainable code and automated tests to improve product quality and reliability.
• Investigate and troubleshoot technical issues using debugging tools, logs, metrics, and other data.
• Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, technical discussions, and retrospectives.
• Use AI-assisted development tools for learning, research, problem-solving, and execution while validating their output.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.
• Expected graduation date must be April 2027 or later.
• Programming experience in one or more languages such as C++, C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Go.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented or functional programming, and software design.
• Experience building, testing, or debugging software, plus familiarity with Git.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and learning skills.

Nice to have

• Agile software development experience.
• Exposure to cloud technologies, APIs, microservices, distributed systems, databases, data pipelines, or event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with SQL or NoSQL databases and interest in automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, or software quality.
• Interest in generative AI, large language models, AI agents, CAD, manufacturing, product design, or developer platforms.
