Location: Hybrid work model at Downtown Toronto, 30 Adelaide St. E.; candidates must be legally eligible to work at the specified location and provide a valid work or study permit where applicable.

Salary: CAD 55,000–85,000 per year

What you will do

• Analyze, design, develop, test, debug, and maintain software enhancements and new products.
• Build applications for a private cloud platform supporting brokerage and mutual fund subaccount clearing.
• Develop modern web applications, REST APIs, and microservices for internal and external customer systems.
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and QA specialists in an agile Scrum environment.
• Implement automated BDD/TDD tests, document installation and maintenance procedures, and resolve software defects.
• Maintain architectural diagrams and follow information security controls and enterprise architecture strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or engineering, or three years of equivalent work experience.
• Experience developing and maintaining SaaS applications and web/RESTful services.
• Knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, Java, JUnit, JPA, Spring, Python, Go, SQL, and relational databases.
• Experience with microservices, cloud-native development, agile Scrum, and automated BDD testing.
• Ability to design scalable, secure, maintainable software and solve technical problems independently.
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada and a valid work or study permit where applicable are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Apache Kafka and NoSQL solutions.
• Knowledge of Apache NiFi, Apache Airflow, Keycloak, serverless computing, jQuery, ExtJS, Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS3, and Jasmine.
