Machinist I (CNC)

What you will do

• Machine graphite, silicon carbides, and other specialty materials according to blueprints, customer specifications, and internal work instructions.
• Operate hand tools, precision measuring equipment, computers, vertical CNC mills, manual and CNC lathes, grinders, bandsaws, and other machining equipment.
• Set up machines or operate equipment prepared by more skilled operators.
• Complete machining tasks within customer jobs and perform initial setups for new parts.
• Follow safety protocols, standard operating procedures, and manufacturing guidelines.
• Perform preventative maintenance and housekeeping duties when required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Math, precision measurement, and machine drawing interpretation skills.
• Advanced knowledge of machining methods and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to perform visual checks and handle materials safely while wearing required PPE.
• Availability to work any shift according to business needs.
• Capacity to comply with federally mandated U.S. export control requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience working in an ISO 9000/14000 environment.
