What you will do

• Architect, deploy, upgrade, scale, and support production OpenShift clusters across hybrid infrastructure.
• Lead complex platform initiatives from technical design and risk assessment through implementation, validation, documentation, and operational transition.
• Automate cluster provisioning, configuration, upgrades, policy enforcement, and operational tasks using infrastructure as code, configuration management, GitOps, and CI/CD.
• Troubleshoot issues across Kubernetes, Linux, containers, networking, ingress, DNS, certificates, storage, compute, identity, and application connectivity.
• Improve reliability through monitoring, alerting, capacity planning, incident response, root-cause analysis, backup, recovery, and disaster-recovery capabilities.
• Develop secure self-service capabilities, reusable platform patterns, technical standards, and documentation while collaborating with application, cloud, network, storage, security, support, and vendor teams.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of combined higher education and/or work experience in systems design, management, or architecture.
• Production administration and support experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across Linux, containers, networking, storage, compute, identity, and distributed application platforms.
• Hands-on experience with scripting, configuration management, infrastructure as code, GitOps, or CI/CD, plus Git-based development, peer review, testing, and controlled change management.
• Ability to independently lead complex technical work, translate business and security requirements into maintainable platform solutions, and communicate designs, risks, and tradeoffs clearly.
• Experience mentoring engineers and reviewing technical designs, automation, documentation, or production changes.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience with Red Hat OpenShift in large multi-cluster production environments and managed Kubernetes platforms such as AKS, EKS, ARO, or ROSA.
• Experience with Podman or Docker, Argo CD, Ansible, Terraform, Python, Go, or Bash.
• Knowledge of observability, container security, vulnerability management, image governance, policy enforcement, and security baseline management.
• Experience with self-service platform capabilities, application onboarding, or regulated financial-services environments.
