Mechanical Designer (Robotics)

Location: Hybrid, based in Salem, Oregon or Fremont, California; on-site attendance is required at least 4 days per month and as needed for design activities, reviews, and prototype testing. All roles are U.S.-based, and candidates must have current authorization to work in the United States.

Salary: $106,000–$138,000 USD annually, plus potential equity, bonuses, and benefits.

What you will do

• Create and manage Creo CAD models, detailed drawings, assemblies, templates, and libraries according to company standards.
• Source and integrate off-the-shelf component models and update CAD based on engineering analysis.
• Manage CAD data in Windchill, including BOMs, files, and Promotion Requests.
• Identify off-the-shelf components that meet engineering specifications and support product design against engineering requirements.
• Prepare CAD screenshots, renderings, and presentation materials for cross-functional design reviews.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers, software developers, applications engineers, manufacturing engineers, and deployment teams to deliver production-ready robot designs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of mechanical design experience.
• Expert proficiency in Creo, including top-down modeling, drafting, and library management.
• Expert proficiency in Windchill, including Promotion Requests, file management, and BOM management.
• Fluent application of GD&T to mechanical parts and assemblies.
• Expert knowledge of several manufacturing processes, including sheet metal, machining, casting, or injection molding.
• Current authorization to work in the United States and ability to attend the design facility on-site as required.

Nice to have

• Altim CoDesigner experience.
• Experience with tolerance analysis.
• Windchill PDM administration experience.
• Jira and Confluence experience.
• Associate degree in electro-mechanical design drafting.
