Senior Process Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite full-time in New London, North Carolina, United States

Base salary: $80,000–$126,500 USD annually, plus eligibility for an annual bonus or role-based sales incentive plan.

What you will do

• Direct the design, development, and improvement of manufacturing processes for an assigned plant area.
• Design and test equipment, processes, procedures, systems, and equipment layouts.
• Install, validate, and optimize new equipment, automation, and facility process upgrades.
• Lead data-driven improvements focused on OEE, safety, waste reduction, and operational performance.
• Facilitate root cause analysis, capital projects, 5S, visual management, and lessons-learned documentation.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, training, and cross-functional support across the facility.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of industrial or manufacturing engineering experience and 5 years of process improvement experience.
• Knowledge and application of PDCA, SMED, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement tools.
• Experience writing SOPs and work instructions, with strong facilitation, leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams and spend extended periods on the plant floor as needed.
• Strong strategic thinking and computer skills.

Nice to have

• Composite extrusion experience.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, Kaizen, DMAIC, standardization, SPC, and work instruction development.
• Basic PLC knowledge and strong project management skills.
