Agent Strategist (AI)

Location: On-site in San Francisco, CA or New York, NY

Salary: $200K–$290K annually, plus equity eligibility for eligible full-time employees

What you will do

• Own the agent development lifecycle from initial scope through conversation design, tooling, evaluation, launch, and continuous production iteration.
• Translate enterprise business goals and complex customer problems into effective AI agents.
• Act as a strategic advisor to customer executives and shape AI strategies tied to measurable business outcomes.
• Run working sessions with customer teams, troubleshoot agents, and make decisions that keep launches on track.
• Feed customer insights and unmet needs back to research and platform teams to influence product direction.

Requirements

• Experience building or deploying AI/LLM agents in production.
• Hands-on experience with evaluation frameworks, agent tooling, retrieval-augmented generation, and prompt engineering.
• Ability to understand API documentation, data models, system architecture, and engineering tradeoffs.
• Strong customer-facing communication, strategic problem-solving, analytical thinking, and ownership of complex projects.
• Founder, founding team member, or operator experience balancing craft, ownership, and speed.
• Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related technical field, equivalent practical experience, and/or an MBA or comparable technology-business experience.

Nice to have

• Experience working with enterprise leaders and complex organizations.
• Experience designing agents for regulated financial-services interactions, commerce, telecommunications, or travel and hospitality.
