Lead Software Engineer

Location: Maple Grove, Minnesota, United States; 4:1 hybrid schedule with office work Monday–Thursday and remote work on Friday

Salary: $155,000–$165,000 per year, with geographic adjustments where applicable

What you will do

• Partner with product owners, business analysts, stakeholders, and engineers to clarify business problems and desired outcomes.
• Translate business needs into technical approaches by evaluating options, tradeoffs, risks, assumptions, and dependencies.
• Estimate level of effort, document technical decisions, and create prototypes or proof-of-concepts when needed.
• Design technical solutions for a Scrum team and guide implementation toward secure, reliable, maintainable outcomes.
• Lead technical discussions, communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences, and align decisions with architecture and engineering teams.
• Work with DevOps to release and operate products across environments while improving quality, reliability, and maintainability through standards, monitoring, and operational data.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• Strong expertise in modern application architecture, APIs, databases, cloud technologies, and software engineering practices.
• Experience providing technical leadership and guiding teams toward effective solutions.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to translate business processes and needs into technology solutions.
• Proven software engineering and solutions development experience, including leadership of complex technical initiatives.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-alignment skills.
