Coordinate Precision Inspector

Salary: $24.15–$43.07 per hour

What you will do

• Inspect experimental, first-run, production, and assembled parts for conformance with engineering drawings, specifications, standards, and work orders.
• Plan inspection sequences, layouts, setups, and mathematical computations for complex parts, tooling, fixtures, and precision measuring devices.
• Perform process inspections during fabrication and assembly and provide inspection data to Quality Assurance.
• Inspect gears, splines, and gear-like products for lead error, involute error, concentricity, tooth spacing, backlash, and surface roughness.
• Inspect, adjust, repair, replace, and calibrate precision measuring tools, transducers, pressure devices, and strain gauges.
• Evaluate tooling and recommend design or planning revisions, including approval or vendor return recommendations.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of inspection experience.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to learn CMM programming and operation.
• Visa sponsorship is not available; applicants requiring employer-sponsored H, L, TN, F, J, E, or O status are not currently being hired for this position.

Nice to have

• 5 years of inspection experience.
• Background in CMM operation.
