Complex Adult Health/Critical Care Clinical Faculty (Part-Time/BSNOL Program) (Nursing): Teaching nursing students in onsite clinical settings through direct supervision, evaluation, remediation, and instruction focused on complex adult health and acute and chronic care. with an accent on clinical education, nursing process application, student performance assessment, and coordination with clinical agencies. Focus on planning supervised patient-care experiences, evaluating clinical competencies, and addressing student and agency issues.

Location: Onsite in a clinical setting in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. The schedule most commonly consists of 12-hour rotations from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for three to four consecutive days.

Compensation: $1,120–$7,245 per assignment, depending on the assigned course credit hours.

What you will do

  • Teach Complex Adult Health clinical content and apply the nursing process to acute and chronic care scenarios.
  • Plan clinical experiences and directly supervise and evaluate nursing students providing patient care.
  • Document student performance, provide feedback, and support remediation when needed.
  • Orient to clinical agency policies and maintain current knowledge of procedures and expectations.
  • Develop clinical assignments and grade homework, quizzes, tests, laboratory assignments, and clinical documentation.
  • Coordinate with course leadership, clinical agencies, and academic administration regarding student and placement matters.

Requirements

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Unencumbered professional nursing license in Missouri.
  • Illinois RN license required to teach all courses; assignments are prioritized for faculty currently licensed in Illinois.
  • At least two years of recent professional experience as a registered nurse in the area of instruction within the last five years.
  • Strong nursing subject-matter expertise and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Passion for nursing education, lifelong learning, and supporting students and colleagues.
