Preschool Teacher (Fixed Term)

Location: Onsite at the ASMSU Early Learning Center in Bozeman, Montana, United States

Salary: $22.00 per hour, commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications

What you will do

• Manage all aspects of the preschool classroom, including curriculum planning and implementation.
• Supervise and care for children while providing active, meaningful, developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
• Inspect classroom and outdoor areas daily for safety and sanitation and correct issues as needed.
• Build positive relationships with families through enrollment meetings, regular communication, newsletters, and parent/teacher conferences.
• Provide guidance and objective feedback to teacher aides and MSU-Bozeman students working in the center.
• Complete training and coursework to remain current in early childhood education and meet licensing requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Development and Family Science, Child Development, or a related field.
• Early Childhood Lead Teacher certification through Montana Childcare Licensing.
• At least three years of experience teaching children from birth through age five.
• Ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, students, families, and colleagues in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, judgment, flexibility, professionalism, and confidentiality skills.
• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience using varied communication methods and strong interpersonal skills.

Culture & Benefits

• Part-time schedule of 20–24 hours per week, or 0.5–0.6 FTE.
