CNC Machinist - Operator/Programmer (Evening, Weekend Day & Night Shift)

Location: Pasadena, TX, USA. Onsite position with evening, weekend day, and weekend night shifts available.

What you will do

• Set up, program, edit, and operate CNC lathes, mills, drills, and other numerical control machinery.
• Maintain machining quality and tolerances within .0003 inches.
• Read work orders, technical drawings, sketches, routing sheets, and machining instructions.
• Adjust machine parameters, preset and resharpen tools, and adapt programs to different machines.
• Machine stainless steel, alloy steel, cast iron, brass, exotic materials, and other materials.
• Inspect finished work with micrometers, bore gauges, vernier calipers, and other measuring instruments while following safety and maintenance procedures.

Requirements

• Previous CNC machining experience is required.
• At least 3 years of CNC machine tool programming and operating experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent, with technical school education and machinist knowledge.
• Ability to operate at least two CNC machine tools and previous manual machining experience.
• Ability to read and interpret machine drawings, perform mathematical calculations, and resolve basic technical problems.
• Detail-oriented, independent, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities efficiently.

Nice to have

• Day-shift experience with Mazak lathes; Haas and DMG lathe experience is a plus.
• Evening-shift experience with Mazak mills; Integrex and Haas mill experience is a plus.
