Manager, Facilities Engineering

Location: Full-time on-site at an hirify.global-designated worksite in Universal City, California, with support for multiple sites in the Los Angeles area; flexible hours and travel may be required.

Salary: $120,000–$145,000 yearly, bonus eligible.

What you will do

• Lead engineers and support staff responsible for building systems, infrastructure, grounds, and facility operations.
• Oversee chiller plants, critical infrastructure, data centers, and critical spaces.
• Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building automation systems.
• Manage preventative maintenance programs, service calendars, CMMS work orders, asset records, and maintenance costs.
• Coordinate vendors, contractors, regulatory testing, capital project planning, budgets, and facility improvement initiatives.
• Support emergency preparedness, fire and disaster response exercises, safety compliance, and business continuity activities.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in building engineering, facilities operations, critical infrastructure, or a related field.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Experience with Class A commercial building operations and applicable fire and life-safety testing requirements, including Los Angeles REG 4.
• Proficiency with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building automation systems, including troubleshooting and repair coordination.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety standards, regulatory requirements, and energy-efficiency practices.
• Valid state Class C driver’s license and ability to maintain OSHA 30-hour certification.

Nice to have

• OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification.
• Associate degree or technical certification in building systems.
• EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification.
• Tridium N4 knowledge or relevant HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or low-voltage trade license.
