Software Engineering Program Manager (Cardiac Ablation Solutions)

Location: Newton, Massachusetts or Mounds View, Minnesota, with on-site presence required at least 4 days per week. Ability to travel as needed.

Salary: $142,400–$213,600 annually in the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific California locations.

What you will do

• Lead software engineering teams through architecture, design, development, testing, sustaining, and release activities for complex medical device software.
• Plan and execute release milestones, risk management, defect resolution, budgets, schedules, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate software development deliverables across multiple sites and align execution with FDA and other regulatory requirements.
• Lead forecasting, effort estimation, resource planning, technical planning, and product or project roadmap activities.
• Apply Agile and industry-standard software engineering processes to improve collaboration and delivery.
• Provide status updates to management and collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, Systems, Test, and other engineering partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Program management experience in a technical discipline or relevant software engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of medical product software development, IEC 62304, and FDA guidance, or experience in another highly regulated environment.
• Experience with software lifecycle processes, configuration management, documentation practices, and engineering management tools.
• Strong communication, organizational, influencing, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required at hire and throughout employment for roles below the Principal level; U.S. sponsorship is not available for this role.

• Experience leading development of complex software involving real-time performance, hardware integration, data visualization, or distributed system components.
• Successful leadership of product development or process improvement projects.
• Experience working with Quality, Regulatory, Systems, and Test organizations across facilities.
