TL;DR
System Business Analyst (Fixed Income Asset Management): Bridging business stakeholders and technology teams to define and ensure understanding of requirements for fixed-income data products, with an accent on owning product features and clear deliverables. Focus on conducting data analysis using SQL, extrapolating business logic from code (Java/Stored Procs), and proactively identifying obstacles for sprint delivery.
Location: Remote from Argentina, Armenia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Colombia, Cyprus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Mexico, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Ukraine, Uruguay. Candidates from Europe, Ukraine, and Asia must be able to cover at least 5-6 business hours within the EST timezone.

is seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst to support Fixed Income Asset Management, bridging business stakeholders (portfolio managers, analysts, quants) and the technology team.
What you will do
- Analyze and define business and functional requirements for building fixed-income data products.
- Communicate effectively and conduct walkthroughs with development, QA, and stakeholders.
- Take ownership of product features to ensure the team understands business deliverables and acceptance criteria.
- Conduct data analysis using strong SQL skills, including diving into code to understand business logic and document data flows.
- Assist Product Owners with backlog refinement and sprint planning, validating user stories.
- Proactively identify and raise obstacles that may impact sprint delivery.
Requirements
- 6+ years of Business Analysis experience at a buy-side Fixed Income, Investment management, or asset management firm.
- Strong SQL skills for querying and analyzing data from relational databases.
- Ability to read Python code.
- Demonstrated experience with various SDLC and application development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
- Experience in various Fixed Income instruments (e.g., U.S. Treasuries, Corporate Bonds, Mortgages).
- Working knowledge of data governance and the ability to maintain high data quality.
- Experience with reporting tools and understanding relational database models.
- Strong relationship management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Nice to have
- Experience working with Seismic, Vermillion, or Arria Software.
- Experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Ability to create, maintain, and break down User Stories, Tasks, and Epics in Jira.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
