TL;DR
Automation Test Engineer (SC Eligible) (Test Automation/Quality Engineering): Creating automation strategies, frameworks, and test scripts for client technology solutions with an accent on Selenium, Playwright, BDD, API testing, and CI/CD integration. Focus on designing maintainable automation assets, integrating tests into delivery pipelines, and managing a small team of test engineers in Agile and DevOps environments.
Location: Hybrid across London, Manchester, and Newcastle, with work from company offices, client sites, and home; 100% home working is not available.

What you will do
- Create effective automation test strategies and plans.
- Build, adapt, and maintain automation frameworks and test assets.
- Develop BDD test scripts and perform functional, API, web, mobile, manual, and automated testing.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Manage and maintain test assets in Git and other repositories.
- Manage a small team of test engineers and collaborate with developers, testers, analysts, and architects.
Requirements
- Experience with at least two automation tools, such as Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, or Tricentis Tosca.
- Familiarity with an OOP language such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Experience with Cucumber, SpecFlow, or similar BDD tooling.
- Experience with test management tools including Jira, TFS, or OpenText ALM, and API tools such as Postman, Ready API, or SoapUI.
- Experience working in waterfall, Agile, and DevOps environments, including data masking and data subsetting.
- Security Check (SC) clearance is required; applicants must have resided continuously in the United Kingdom for the last five years and meet the applicable nationality and security criteria.
