Senior Director, Trade (Trade Finance)

What you will do

• Lead the Trade Finance business for Canada and set its strategic vision.
• Develop and execute business plans that drive growth, revenue, and client relationship expansion.
• Lead Trade Finance Sales and monitor performance against ambitious targets.
• Build relationships with key clients, industry partners, and centres of influence.
• Collaborate with Commercial Banking, Product, Operations, and Risk to deliver integrated trade solutions.
• Coach and develop a high-performing, geographically dispersed team while driving transformational initiatives.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in trade finance, commercial banking, or corporate banking.
• Proven track record in sales and business development.
• Strategic leadership experience in a matrix environment and with geographically dispersed teams.
• Advanced relationship management skills and the ability to address complex client needs.
• Strong business and financial acumen, including knowledge of trade finance products, risk management, and market dynamics.
• Strong communication, collaboration, influence, and people leadership skills.
