Commercial Employment Attorney (Mexico)

Location: Avenida Insurgentes Centro 730, Mexico City, Mexico. The role includes 5%–15% international travel and requires a valid passport and authorization to travel internationally.

What you will do

• Advise executives, managers, employee relations, information services, and operations on labor and employment compliance.
• Provide guidance on discipline, non-competition, redundancies, leave, disability, contingent workers, occupational health and safety, discrimination, wages, and labor relations.
• Manage litigation, outside counsel, legal budgets, internal investigations, governmental subpoenas, audits, and inquiries.
• Draft and revise employment policies, internal work regulations, service provider agreements, commission agreements, non-compete agreements, employment agreements, and settlements.
• Develop and deliver compliance training and formulate resolution strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Support cross-functional legal projects and departmental goals.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate, Bachelor of Laws, or equivalent law degree.
• Licensed or authorized to practice law in Mexico or in the jurisdiction where based, and in good standing.
• 3–5 years of experience in a top law firm preferred.
• Strong practical knowledge of labor and employment laws and regulations; knowledge of Mexican and U.S. law preferred.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, written, verbal, organizational, and independent judgment skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English required.
