Associate Director, Global Labor and Employment Law (LATAM)

What you will do

• Advise senior leaders, HR, and business stakeholders on complex labor and employment matters across multiple LATAM jurisdictions.
• Lead employee relations, labor and union matters, disputes, litigation, negotiations, mediations, and settlements.
• Conduct sensitive workplace investigations involving misconduct, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, conflicts of interest, and senior leaders.
• Advise on disciplinary actions, performance management, workforce reductions, terminations, and executive employment matters.
• Support reorganizations, restructurings, M&A transactions, outsourcing, hubbing, and workforce integrations.
• Partner with HR and Ethics & Compliance on workplace policies, training, whistleblower matters, immigration, and cross-border employment issues.

Requirements

• Admission to practice law, preferably in Mexico, Brazil, or Colombia.
• At least 8 years of post-qualification experience in labor and employment law.
• At least 5 years of in-house legal experience in a multinational organization, or equivalent law firm and in-house experience.
• Experience across multiple LATAM jurisdictions and independently handling complex, high-profile employment matters.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, workforce transformations, restructurings, M&A, outsourcing, and business reorganizations.
• Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills, including executive-ready legal guidance and presentations.
