Corporate Counsel (Commercial, Corporate and Real Estate)

Location: Santa Catarina, in the metropolitan area of Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. This is a five-day-a-week in-office role with frequent travel to the United States.

What you will do

• Advise management and business stakeholders on commercial, corporate, real estate, and other legal matters.
• Research and interpret complex legal and regulatory issues and provide practical recommendations.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and revise commercial agreements, corporate documents, policies, and legal recommendations.
• Identify, assess, and help mitigate legal, regulatory, and operational risks.
• Support disputes, claims, investigations, strategic initiatives, and operational decision-making with internal and external legal partners.
• Improve legal processes, templates, policies, governance, and communication of legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer licensed to practice law in Mexico.
• Experience handling commercial, corporate, and real estate matters in a reputable law firm or corporate legal department.
• Advanced written and spoken English required.
• Knowledge of legal advisory functions, legal research, risk management, and complex problem-solving.
• Proficiency with IT tools, including Microsoft Office, Teams, Outlook, Copilot, and artificial intelligence.
• A valid U.S. visa and passport are required for frequent travel to the United States.

• Experience managing a multinational law firm or corporate legal function.
• Professional expertise or legal studies in the United States or abroad.
