Warehouse Maintenance Technician (HVAC)

What you will do

• Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC systems, conveyors, material-handling equipment, dock equipment, and general warehouse infrastructure.
• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to reduce equipment failures, service interruptions, and downtime.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns, leaks, temperature-control issues, safety hazards, and other urgent facility conditions.
• Coordinate, monitor, and verify work performed by HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-protection, and other facility contractors.
• Maintain work orders, inspection logs, asset histories, parts records, warranties, permits, and vendor documentation.
• Conduct building and yard inspections, manage spare-parts inventory, and communicate repair progress and return-to-service timing.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of industrial, commercial, distribution-center, or warehouse facility maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of mechanical systems, conveyor equipment, HVAC fundamentals, basic plumbing, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to read equipment manuals, safety procedures, and basic mechanical or electrical diagrams.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, meters, ladders, and maintenance equipment safely.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize maintenance needs, respond to emergencies, and use basic computer systems for work orders and inventory.

Nice to have

• Technical or trade-school training in industrial maintenance, HVAC, electrical, mechanical systems, or a related field.
• Conveyor maintenance or industrial-mechanical certification.
• OSHA 10-hour or OSHA 30-hour training and formal lockout/tagout, fall-protection, aerial-lift, forklift, or powered industrial truck training.
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems or electronic work-order platforms.
