TL;DR
Acquisition Program Specialist, Senior (Weapons Systems/AMRAAM): Managing acquisition programs for the AMRAAM weapons system, including contracts, RFP materials, funding, risk, and configuration control with an accent on Department of Defense acquisition processes and weapons-system delivery. Focus on developing acquisition strategies, forecasting budgets, assessing proposal and program risks, and maintaining contractual and product-baseline data.

Location: Robins AFB, Georgia, United States; onsite

What you will do

  • Develop and manage program plans, risk-management processes, and courses of action for AMRAAM acquisition programs.
  • Maintain contracts, modifications, schedules, funding profiles, CLIN indexes, deliverables, and correspondence-tracking databases.
  • Support development of RFP materials, including system specifications, SRDs, SOOs, SOWs, and CDRLs.
  • Assist with source-selection simulations, cost-benefit assessments, mock proposals, RFP risk assessments, RFIs, and training modules.
  • Plan and manage product-baseline configuration identification, control, accounting, verification, and auditing.
  • Perform economic, budget, and financial analysis; prepare forecasts, funding-status models, briefings, and decision-support information.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Active Secret clearance required before starting.
  • Associate degree with 15 years of relevant experience, bachelor’s degree in an IRD field with 10 years of relevant experience, or master’s degree in an IRD field with 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of Department of Defense and Air Force acquisition regulations, guidelines, and processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to travel approximately 5%.

Nice to have

  • Experience with weapons systems, weapons, or missiles.
  • Knowledge of military and industrial configuration-management guidance, including MIL-HDBK-67 and ANSI/EIA-649.
