Foreclosure Support Specialist I (Mortgage Banking)

Salary: $18.68–$31.14 per hour

What you will do

• Review past-due loans that meet foreclosure referral requirements and manage foreclosure payoff and reinstatement quote requests.
• Verify required data and documents across multiple imaging and servicing systems.
• Research prior servicer payment histories and manage escalations through internal systems, email, and verbal direction.
• Coordinate with Loss Mitigation, Collections, SPOC, CAM teams, offshore servicing staff, customers, and foreclosure attorneys.
• Perform quality control reviews of document uploads and ensure files support the foreclosure timeline.
• Maintain compliance, operational risk controls, internal controls, and audit requirements.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of combined higher education and/or work experience, including 2 years in banking or mortgage services.
• Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and email software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, work ethic, and ability to work independently.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and contribute to a positive team environment.

Nice to have

• Associate’s degree in Accounting or Business.
• Knowledge of M&T Bank systems.
• Paralegal Certificate.
