Default Loan Servicing Specialist - Bankruptcy

Location: Fort Mill, South Carolina, USA

Salary: $21.24–$28.30 per hour

What you will do

• Service mortgage accounts and process bankruptcy activities in compliance with state and federal laws, investor, insurer, agency, and company guidelines.
• Review assigned files and monitor bankruptcy proceedings, records, deadlines, and workflow activities.
• Coordinate with mortgagors, attorneys, investors, insurers, trustees, appraisers, and other parties involved in bankruptcy cases.
• Follow up on outstanding requests and calls from internal and external partners.
• Audit account expenses and ensure accurate application of transactions in the system of record.
• Research questionable loan items and manage exception reporting to minimize risk.

Requirements

• 3+ years of directly related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of fundamental bankruptcy concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with extreme attention to detail.
• Ability to follow strict guidelines, procedures, deadlines, and compliance requirements.
• Experience with Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet tools, and Microsoft Outlook.

Nice to have

• Experience with GSE and government programs.
• Experience with MSP and LoanSphere.
