Operations Manager (Hospitality) | Chicago

Location: Chicago, Illinois; regular travel between stores within the market is required.

Annual base salary: $100,000–$130,000.

What you will do

• Lead operations across an area of 5+ stores and manage the General Managers responsible for them.
• Coach General Managers to maintain hospitality standards, improve store performance, and close operational gaps.
• Own area P&L performance, sales forecasting, labor targets, staffing plans, and inventory controls.
• Develop managers through training, one-to-ones, feedback, hiring, promotions, and succession planning.
• Launch new stores and support turnarounds of underperforming locations.
• Roll out menu launches, technology tools, and other operational initiatives across the area.

Requirements

• 5+ years of leadership experience in hospitality, retail, or another fast-growing consumer business.
• Experience leading 3–10 locations and developing the managers who run them.
• Strong operational and financial judgment, including experience with P&L and KPI dashboards.
• Proven ability to hire, coach, develop managers, make decisions, and lead through change.
• Strong strategic planning, written communication, and verbal presentation skills.
• Full-time availability for 50 hours per week, five days of availability, and two peak days, usually Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
