TL;DR
Clinic Operations Manager (Healthcare): Leading daily operations, team performance, compliance, and patient and provider experience at an in-person women’s healthcare clinic with an accent on clinic flow, workforce planning, and operational metrics. Focus on optimizing patient throughput, solving staffing and scheduling challenges, supporting clinical workflows, and maintaining HIPAA, OSHA, and safety standards.

Location: Scottsdale, Arizona, United States; in-clinic leadership role with availability for early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends as needed.

Salary: $90,000–$100,000 per year, plus performance-based bonus.

What you will do

  • Lead the clinic’s leadership and support teams, including coaching, development, workforce planning, performance management, and hiring strategy.
  • Oversee front desk, check-in, check-out, rooming, provider scheduling, staffing coverage, and clinical workflows.
  • Monitor patient experience, schedule utilization, visit completion, access, timeliness, and care-margin metrics.
  • Partner with the Medical Director, providers, and centralized operations teams to improve care-team dynamics, clinic throughput, communication, and scalable processes.
  • Serve as the on-site escalation authority for complex personnel issues, patient experience failures, medical-legal incidents, and quality-of-care concerns.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, stocked, and operationally ready clinic while coordinating with facilities, supply, IT, and vendors.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in healthcare operations, clinic operations, ambulatory care, urgent care, or another patient-facing healthcare environment.
  • Required prior experience as a Medical Assistant or in a directly equivalent clinical support role, with the ability to assist with patient care and rooming during staffing gaps.
  • 3–5 years of direct people management experience supervising, coaching, and developing team members or supervisors.
  • Experience managing Medical Assistants, front-desk staff, phlebotomists, patient flow, scheduling tools, and EMRs.
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, healthcare compliance, safety standards, and operational problem-solving.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; willingness to work non-traditional hours required.
