Senior Data Platform Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote within the USA, with occasional travel to headquarters, customer sites, and partner facilities as needed.

Salary: $165,000–$200,000 per year, plus bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Design and build a storage layer that preserves source disagreements, evidence, history, and uncertainty.
• Build the result and evidence store for per-person results, originating records, prior results, human feedback, and configuration versions.
• Implement provenance and lineage across platform entities and relationships.
• Version rules and configurations, recording the exact rule versions and model-assisted context used for every result.
• Ensure writes and decisions are traceable, reproducible, and queryable at a specific point in time.
• Define storage-layer contracts with entity-resolution and machine-learning engineers.

Requirements

• 6+ years of data engineering or data platform engineering experience.
• Production experience with versioned, temporal, or historized data models and storage that treats provenance and source disagreement as first-class concerns.
• Experience working with probabilistic upstream outputs and entity-resolution-style data without relying on a shared key.
• Strong Python and SQL skills, with production experience using PostgreSQL or a comparable database.
• US citizenship and an active US Secret clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Experience building storage downstream of entity-resolution or record-linkage systems.
• Production experience with bi-temporal, event-sourced, graph, or temporal data models.
• Federal, government, or regulated-industry experience requiring reproducible historical decisions.
• Active Top Secret clearance.
