Training Manager (Aviation Training)

What you will do

• Oversee assigned flight training programmes, simulator operations, instructor allocation, and customer training requirements.
• Deliver simulator instruction in line with approved programmes, customer requirements, regulatory standards, and hirify.global procedures.
• Manage assigned instructors, including qualifications, authorisations, currency, observations, assessments, and competency reviews.
• Maintain training records, regulatory documentation, course materials, curricula, and training administration.
• Coordinate with technical, scheduling, regulatory, customer service, sales, and training teams to support safe and effective operations.
• Monitor trainee progress, support instructor standardisation, and contribute to workforce planning and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Hold or have held a professional pilot licence such as CPL, ATPL, or an equivalent recognised aviation qualification.
• Hold or have held a valid SFI, TRI, or equivalent instructor qualification relevant to the assigned training programme.
• Extensive aviation training and flight training experience, including knowledge of aviation regulations, ATO processes, and training governance.
• Experience with instructor oversight, training delivery or operational training management, training records, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, prioritisation, and customer-focused skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Fluent English is required. Availability for flexible schedules, including weekends and public holidays, and travel within the assigned training region is required.

Nice to have

• EASA and/or UK CAA ATPL.
• Leadership or management experience in an aviation training environment.
• Experience with instructor standardisation, competency assessments, courseware, curriculum development, or training quality assurance.
• Experience supporting customer-facing programmes or working across multiple training locations.
• Knowledge of local languages in addition to English.
