Scala Developer (Senior-level)

hirify.global is a publicly listed gaming technology company delivering software, services, content, and platform technology for regulated and regulating markets. The GPAS unit develops a distributed platform for online casino game delivery.

What you will do

• Design, develop, refactor, support, and review Scala software.
• Collaborate with platform teams to deliver platform capabilities.
• Work autonomously while taking ownership of assigned engineering tasks.
• Optimize the platform for maximum throughput and scalability.
• Build and maintain components for a highly accessible, multi-tenant, distributed, and event-driven gaming platform.

Requirements

• At least three years of hands-on experience developing server-side applications in Scala.
• Strong knowledge of Scala, preferably Scala 3, and SBT.
• Experience with Pekko or Akka, including HTTP, Actors, Cluster, Persistence, Streams, and connectors.
• Strong understanding of the JVM, data structures, algorithms, and parallel and concurrent programming.
• Practical experience building high-scale distributed systems with complex interfaces and integrations.
• Clear and effective communication in English is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in the iGaming domain.
• Experience with Typesafe Config, Couchbase, Play JSON, or ScalaTest.
• Familiarity with AWS S3, DynamoDB, Docker, Nomad, Kubernetes, and Linux.
