Senior Packaging Engineer (Medical Devices)

Location: Hybrid role in Galway, County Galway, Ireland

Salary: EUR 64,640–96,960 per year, plus eligibility for the hirify.global Incentive Plan.

What you will do

• Develop packaging components and assemblies for medical devices in the Vascular and Implant Therapies space.
• Design, analyze, troubleshoot, and support packaging research and product development from concept through commercialization.
• Source, test, and approve packaging materials.
• Act as a subject matter expert on cross-functional and cross-divisional projects.
• Create design specifications, input requirements, validation documentation, and technical reports.
• Support investigations, corrective actions, continuous improvement, and packaging engineering training.

Requirements

• Degree-level qualification in engineering, science, or a related discipline, with 4 years of experience; alternatively, a relevant master's degree with 2 years of experience.
• Experience with biomedical materials, processing, medical packaging design, product development, and manufacturing.
• Proven experience in innovative package design and commercialization.
• Knowledge of FDA and ISO requirements related to packaging and labeling.
• Ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries, communicate clearly, and make accountable decisions.
