Senior Product Designer (Fintech)

Location: London, UK; hybrid. Work from home is available every Monday and Friday, with in-office collaboration on the other days.

What you will do

• Lead product discovery, select research methods, and translate findings into clear design direction.
• Own design delivery for complex product areas from initial flows through production.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers throughout design, balancing customer outcomes with build cost.
• Contribute to the design system and make evidence-based decisions about when to deviate from it.
• Run usability tests and experiments with measurable success criteria.
• Use AI across the design workflow, contribute to design critiques, and mentor other designers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product design experience, ideally in fintech or a fast-paced startup.
• Strong experience designing mobile apps and web products.
• Ability to use customer research and data to challenge solution-led briefs and support decisions.
• Experience communicating with senior stakeholders and defending customer and quality outcomes.
• Ability to design for accessibility standards and regulated environments such as Consumer Duty.
• Experience mentoring designers and providing clear, constructive feedback.

Nice to have

• Experience designing AI-powered products, including explainability and human override.
• Experience shipping product improvements through CMS or no-code tools without engineering support.
• UX writing experience.

Hiring process

• CV screening followed by an introductory call with Talent and/or the hiring manager.
• Take-home exercise followed by a 45-minute task debrief with the design team.
• Final in-person round at the office with Product, Engineering, and the CPO.
