Legal Counsel - Amsterdam (SaaS)

Location: Hybrid, with offices in Amsterdam or Rotterdam, Netherlands

What you will do

• Negotiate SaaS commercial contracts for the Sales Team while balancing business needs and legal protection.
• Participate in vendor and procurement agreement negotiations and ensure compliance.
• Provide practical legal guidance to the Customer Success Team and other business functions.
• Improve legal processes, compliance frameworks, and best practices using AI tools.
• Monitor legal developments in the SaaS and AI sectors and support regulatory compliance across EMEA jurisdictions.

Requirements

• Law degree from a highly regarded university and qualification to practice as in-house counsel in the EMEA region.
• 2–4 years of combined law firm and/or in-house legal experience.
• Excellent knowledge of civil, commercial, and contract law.
• Native or fluent English is required, with excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
• Experience using artificial intelligence tools to improve legal processes and productivity.
• Strong legal analysis, practical business judgment, autonomy, and adaptability in a fast-paced technology company.

Nice to have

• Experience in the SaaS industry.
• Fluency in Dutch or another European language.
