Head of Public Policy, Benelux (Public Policy): Leading public policy and government relations across the Benelux region, with a focus on the Netherlands, regulatory analysis, stakeholder engagement, and policy advocacy. Focus on shaping policy positions, coordinating with EU teams in Brussels, advising on legislative risks, and representing Snap with governments and public stakeholders.
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; office work expected 4+ days per week. Regular travel to Brussels is expected.

What you will do
- Lead ’s public policy and government relations work across the Benelux region, with a particular focus on the Netherlands.
- Build and maintain relationships with regulators, government officials, NGOs, trade associations, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare policy analysis, legislative summaries, consultation responses, advocacy materials, stakeholder maps, and executive briefings.
- Develop policy positions, coordinate cross-functional input, and support regulatory and legislative engagement.
- Coordinate with the Brussels Public Policy team on EU policy priorities and travel regularly to Brussels.
- Partner with Legal, Communications, Sales, Product, Platform Integrity, and senior executives to assess risks, opportunities, and policy messaging.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in law, economics, European studies, political studies, or a related field.
- Significant experience in public policy and public affairs in Benelux.
- Experience with technology policy, digital policy, or platform regulation.
- Ability to work with government officials, NGOs, coalitions, regulators, and other stakeholder groups.
- Strong communication, advocacy, political judgment, research, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work from ’s Amsterdam office 4+ days per week and travel regularly to Brussels.
Nice to have
- Postgraduate degree in a relevant field.
- Previous experience working with government, regulators, or other public institutions.
- Work experience with or in Brussels or EU policy.
- Proficiency with AI tools.
