Senior IT Sourcing Buyer with French (Software Procurement)

Location: Bucharest, Romania; hybrid model with 3 days per week from the office and 2 days working from home

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end Source-to-Contract activities, from sourcing strategy through contract award and financial performance declaration.
• Develop sourcing strategies and commercial approaches for complex software procurement initiatives.
• Lead supplier negotiations, commercial evaluations, contract discussions, renewals, and competitive sourcing initiatives.
• Advise internal stakeholders on procurement strategy, supplier selection, commercial risk, and contractual outcomes.
• Manage multiple sourcing projects while ensuring compliance with procurement governance, security, risk, SLA, and KPI requirements.
• Prepare executive-ready sourcing recommendations, supplier evaluations, and negotiation summaries; mentor junior buyers and support continuous improvement.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in IT procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management.
• Proven experience managing complex Source-to-Contract engagements across software, cloud, and IT services.
• Extensive supplier negotiation, contract renewal, and competitive sourcing experience.
• Strong stakeholder management skills in multinational and matrix organizations.
• Professional English and French proficiency at minimum B2 level; C1 French is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, procurement, supply chain, economics, finance, information technology, engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Procurement certification such as CIPS, CPSM, or an equivalent qualification.
