Electrical PCB Layout Engineer

Location: Onsite in Pasir Gudang, Johor, Malaysia

What you will do

• Create and maintain PCB layouts for robot and system controllers using Altium Designer.
• Interpret schematics and develop manufacturable multilayer PCB designs with attention to signal integrity, power integrity, thermal management, EMI/EMC, and manufacturability.
• Perform component placement, routing, fan-out, copper pours, design optimization, and design rule checks.
• Generate fabrication and assembly drawings, Gerber files, and manufacturing documentation.
• Define PCB layer stack-ups, maintain component libraries and footprints, and ensure compliance with design standards.
• Support prototype builds, design reviews, debugging, engineering change orders, and vendor issue resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on PCB layout experience.
• Strong expertise in Altium Designer, Gerber viewing tools, symbol and footprint creation, and library maintenance.
• Familiarity with IPC-2221 and IPC-7351 standards.
• Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and ability to work independently across cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to attend occasional early morning or evening calls with global teams, including a U.S.-based manager and engineering team.
